I hate
car salesmen.
The most commonly used phrase when car shopping.
That's why people ask Mike.
Buying a car shouldn't feel stressful. No dealership games. No pressure. No endless negotiating. Just honest advice from someone who's on your side.
The easiest car buying experience, ever.Save your time. Save your money.
Takes about two minutes. No dealership visit required.
The old way
Buying a car
shouldn't feel like this.
Somewhere along the way, the process stopped being about the car.
You block out the afternoon. You lose the whole day.
A greeter, a salesperson, a manager, and a finance manager. Each one starts the conversation over.
"Let me go talk to my manager." You sit there. Again.
Products you didn't ask about, presented as though they're already included.
Add-ons and fees that appeared somewhere between the handshake and the signature.
A price that supposedly disappears the moment you walk out the door.
The quiet question: did I actually get a good deal?
You put off replacing the car for another year, just to avoid doing it again.
The Ask Mike way
Imagine buying a car
like this instead.
Four steps. You do the first and the third. I handle the rest.
Tell me what you're after
Make, model, budget, payment, timing — or just a rough idea. I'll ask the questions that actually matter.
I shop and negotiate
I go to the stores so you don't have to, and I have them compete for your business instead of the other way around.
You review the numbers
The full deal, in writing, before anything is signed. If it isn't right, we don't do it.
Pick it up or have it delivered
Most people choose delivery — to their driveway or their office. Keys in hand, paperwork done.
That's it. No dealership marathon. No games. No pressure.
Where I stand
Why
ask Mike?
Easiest way to explain it is to just tell you what I will and won't do.
- I work for you — not the dealership.
- I don't own inventory, so I have nothing to move.
- I don't care which brand you buy.
- I'll tell you when it's a bad deal — even if it costs me the sale.
- I'll answer your questions honestly, including the awkward ones.
- I'll negotiate before you ever set foot in a dealership.
Help you make the smartest buying decision possible — while saving you your time and your money. That's the whole job.
Meet Mike
Hi, I'm Mike. I started Ask Mike because I was convinced there had to be a better way to buy a car.
For years I watched people give up entire Saturdays inside a dealership. They'd walk out exhausted, a little confused, and quietly wondering whether they'd been taken for a ride. Some of them were. Most of them never found out either way.
That always bothered me. A car is one of the biggest purchases most people make, and the process is built so that the person spending the money knows the least about what's happening.
So I built something different. Think of me as your personal car buying advisor — the friend in the business everybody wishes they had. I'll walk you through every step, tell you what I'd do if it were my money, and handle the parts nobody enjoys.
Buying a car should be exciting. Let's get it back to that.
In their words
People keep
asking Mike.
Most of my business comes from someone telling a friend. That's the part I'm proudest of.
I told Mike what I wanted on a Tuesday and the car was in my driveway that Friday. I never spoke to a single salesperson. My wife didn't believe me.
I'd already been to two stores and had two very different stories. Mike explained what was actually going on in about five minutes and then beat both numbers.
He talked me out of the car I originally called about. Told me straight up it was the wrong lease at the wrong time. Who does that?
We needed three vehicles for the business and I did not have the time. Mike handled all of it and kept me updated the whole way through.
My trade was worth more than the first dealer told me. A lot more. That alone paid for the whole thing several times over.
First time in my life I finished a car deal and didn't spend the drive home second-guessing it.

Questions people
actually ask me.
Can you help with leases?
Yes — and leasing is honestly where I save people the most. There are several moving parts most people are never shown, and small differences in them can change your payment significantly. I'll walk you through what each one is and what it's doing to your monthly number.
Can you take my trade?
Yes. Instead of accepting whatever number one store puts in front of you, I'll get competing offers on your current vehicle so you know what it's actually worth. For a lot of clients, this is where the biggest difference shows up.
Can you help my business?
Yes. Business and commercial vehicles, one at a time or several at once. If you're running a company, your time is the thing you can least afford to spend sitting in a showroom.
Can you deliver?
Yes, and most people choose to. Your vehicle comes to your home or your office with the paperwork ready. If you'd rather pick it up yourself, that's fine too.
Can you help with every manufacturer?
Nearly every major brand. Brand new vehicles, dealer loaners and demos — that's what I work with. I don't own inventory and I'm not tied to any one badge, so I have no reason to talk you into something just because it's what's available.
Why wouldn't I just go directly to the dealership?
You absolutely can, and some people enjoy it. The difference is who's on each side of the table. On your own, you're one person doing this once every few years, negotiating with a store that does it all day, every day.
I do it all day too. And rather than you visiting one store at a time, I can have several of them competing for your business before you ever leave your house.
